Why do we often take ourselves so seriously, specially when chasing our dreams?

I often think to myself: Why do we always take ourselves so seriously in life? We act like every little thing we do is going to impact us in a catastrophic way but in reality, a lot of what we do or say doesn't even matter. We often get distracted by what we think others think about us and neglect our true passions or/and ambitions, which we should never do. I made this shirt as a reminder of just that. Silly picture of my actually kitty with a majestic picture in the back symbolizing and reminding us to let loose and be silly and to let go of all the seriousness and layers that this world might put on us. Be unapologetically you.
